What is your COVID policy?
FlyAway Birding does not ask for proof of vaccination status as a requirement to travel with FAB on tours, although we recommend that all travelers keep their vaccination and boosters current, and protect themselves with travel insurance that includes coverage for COVID-19, as well as other injury or illness. FAB does not require quarantining due to COVID-19, although participants are asked to bring masks. When a participant exhibits symptoms of COVID or another respiratory/transmittable illness, they will be asked by their guide to wear a mask until symptoms subside. This is out of courtesy to the group and their health. If a client shows symptoms on a tour, your guide may ask you to test for COVID. If a client is positive for COVID-19, the guide will manage the decision on the ground as he or she sees best; this may include asking the sick client to pay for a private transport, wear a mask, etc.
What is your payment policy?
All trips require a deposit of $500 upon registration, unless otherwise specified.
Our general policies are as follows, but may vary for certain trips:
Half of the remaining balance will be due 180 days (6 months) before the trip or upon registration if departure is less than 180 days.
The remainder of balance is due 120 days (4 months) before the trip or full payment upon registration if the trip departs in less than 120 days.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Our cancellation and refund policies are designed to be as accommodating as possible, but in some cases only partial refunds may be possible. We do recommend travelers insurance for most trips, especially international destinations.
For cancellations more than 180 days (6 months) before the trip, we will grant a full refund of deposit and any other payments (unless otherwise specified).
For cancellations 120 to 180 days before the trip, we will grant a refund of any payments minus the $500 deposit. If your space is filled from the waiting list, we will also refund your deposit.
For cancellations 30 to 120 days before the trip, we cannot guarantee a refund. However, in some cases, we may be able to give you a partial refund. If your space is filled from the waiting list, we will grant a full refund.
For cancellations less than 30 days before departure, we cannot guarantee any refund.
